The Mission
Our Approach
The DOE Family Forum was conceived as more than an annual community gathering; it was designed as a living, breathing sustainability playground. Over twelve consecutive days, Pyxis transformed the event into an interactive learning environment where energy awareness wasn’t taught, it was experienced.
We curated a journey that balanced education with entertainment, ensuring relevance for every age group. The experience was anchored around the idea that sustainable habits start at home and are strongest when shared as a family.
To bring this vision to life, we designed and managed a series of immersive, hands-on activations:
- Human-Powered Sustainability Stations:Stationary bikes connected to juicing stations allowed participants to generate energy through movement, turning physical effort into freshly made juice, a tangible demonstration of energy generation and consumption
- Sustainable Mixology Experience: A professional mixologist crafted drinks using locally sourced ingredients and low-waste techniques, subtly reinforcing sustainability through lifestyle choices.
- Family-Friendly Interactive Zones: Games, challenges, and creative workshops introduced children and adults alike to energy-saving concepts in a playful, accessible way.
- Educational Touchpoints: Bite-sized, interactive content showcased simple energy-saving tactics that can be applied at home, from reducing consumption to smarter daily habits.
- Seamless Event Flow & Experience Design: From zoning and visitor movement to programming and facilitation, each element was designed to keep engagement high across all twelve days.
Rather than relying on lectures or static booths, the DOE stand emphasized participation. Parents learned alongside their children. Sustainability was framed not as a policy, but as a lifestyle, achievable, enjoyable, and collective.
Pyxis oversaw the full lifecycle of the event: creative concept development, experiential design, on-ground production, talent management, and daily operations, ensuring consistency, quality, and energy throughout the twelve-day run.
The Result
The DOE stand at the Family Forum successfully turned sustainability into a shared family experience.
By blending play, interaction, and real-world application, Pyxis helped DOE communicate its message in a way that resonated beyond the event itself. Employees and their families didn’t just learn about energy efficiency, they lived it, tasted it, powered it, and took it home with them.
The forum fostered connection, awareness, and long-lasting impact, reinforcing the idea that meaningful change begins with small actions, practiced daily.
At Pyxis, we believe the most powerful messages are the ones people experience together.
One purpose. One community. Sustainable impact.
